Philip M. Pinkowski‚ Jr.‚ 59‚ a charter member of the Clarendon Volunteer Fire Department‚ died on April 12‚ 1999‚ while battling a house fire. Very active in the department‚ he held many positions‚ including chief and president of the board of trustees. A life member of the Vermont State Firefighters Association‚ he owned and operated a dairy farm.
