Phillip Wayne Snell-Dean‚ 29‚ a member of the River Oaks Volunteer Fire Department‚ died on February 15‚ 1999‚ while fighting a church fire. He was also a six-year veteran of the Fort Worth Fire Department. He joined the River Oaks Department at age 16 and became an EMT. He served many years as a Sunday school teacher and youth leader. Two other firefighters also died in this incident.

I had only meet the young Phillip Wayne Snell once (1969, he was about two years old) but I served with and was very good friends with his Dad Phillip Wayne Snell. I also know and see his Mother, Genie, occasionally. I just wanted to say hi.
