Firefighter Robert T. Crutchfield III and two other firefighters become disoriented and lost while performing fire suppression. All 3 firefighters were found and removed from the structure and taken to the EMS area outside of the incident where despite life saving measures‚ Crutchfield and one other firefighter succumbed.
The National Emergency Training Center (NETC) campus will be closed during the government shutdown, including access to the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial.
