Roll of Honor

Stewart Warren

Submitted by the interim chief of his department

Stewart was employed by the West Helena Fire Department from 01/16/1974 – 05/08/1997.

Stewart was actively involved with the West Helena Fire Department and raising monies for the Mississippi Firefighters Memorial Burn Center. He was the tournament Director of the local fishing tournaments that the West Helena Fire Department hosted. Stewart was an avid hunter and fisherman‚ who LOVED the outdoors. He always loved taking someone and showing them the sport of the outdoors‚ especially someone who had never been.

Stewart is survived by two sons‚ Jody Warren and James Warren. Two of his brightest moments was when his son Jody joined the West Helena Fire Department‚ following in his footsteps and advancing to the rank of Captain. Unfortunately following his death‚ Jody was no longer able to continue in his father’s footsteps.

Stewart was a role model for all on his department‚ being one of the best pump operators on our department. Stewart also was in the military.

  1. My pop was and will always be my hero. He was the center off my world. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about him. Even after all these years the hurt is sometimes hard to handle. He loved us and he loved spending time with us. Especially in the outdoors. I love you pop!
