Timothy E. Parsell

Captain E. Timothy Parsell‚ 39‚ volunteer firefighter of the Collins Volunteer Fire Company No. #1‚ died of a heart attack November 4‚ 2005 while preparing to respond to an EMS call. Active in the department for more then 21 years‚ he held the offices of Vice President‚ Assistant Chief‚ Captain and Training Officer. He was the department ‘Fireman of the Year’ in 2000. A dedicated fireman from the start and a trusted friend to all.

He was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed baseball‚ bowling‚ cards‚ horseshoes and NASCAR (Rusty Wallace) racing. He leaves behind his wife and two stepdaughters. His wife is an active member of the department’s Ladies Auxiliary.

Tim was a guy whom you could count on for anything. He had the ability to quickly solve problems or make anybody laugh no matter the situation. He is deeply missed by his family and friends.

  1. Miss you Tim. Miss our drinks together. Doesn’t seem like it’s been all these years since God took you home. I was told by an old time fireman that sometimes the almighty takes the best firemen home because he needs good people and here to help him. He surely took one of the best in 2005. We look long and hard for dedicated firemen like you. Your loved and sadly missed by your fellow first responders and your family. I miss you young man. I am sure you are up there still wearing your boots and helmet. See you soon my man.
