Roll of Honor

Captain
Year of Death: 1983

William E. Booth I

Submitted by his daughter
On March 24, 1983, Captain William Booth collapsed and died after helping extinguish a fire. Captain Booth was a 23-year veteran of the Riverview Fire Protection District and had served as a captain for three years. He was also a Boy Scout leader many years for both of my brothers and the community. I remember him teaching all seven of us kids his CPR and First Aid Classes at the Riverview Fire Protection District.

Submitted by his Son

Our father died at the age of 55 after battling a furnace fire while doing clean up duty in the basement of a suburban home in St. Louis County in 1983. He was married for 32 years to our mother (Marie) who survives him along with 7 children: Joe‚ Madonna‚ Laura‚ Mary‚ Annette‚ Teresa and Bill and 22 grand children and 4 great grandchildren.

We will always remember our father as a hard working man who had a great sense of humor and strong sense of duty and service to the Riverview Fire Department. We will always miss him and will never forget the joy and memories he has brought to our lives and those he influenced throughout his life.
