ONE-TIME DEATH BENEFIT

Full-time firefighters who are employed by Seminole County Government. Policy covers activities performed as part of job duties.

Accidental Death Benefit
Policy amount of $65,000. If death occurs while: a) in fresh pursuit; or b) responding to an emergency or what was reasonably believed to be an emergency; or c) responding to a traffic accident; or d) while enforcing what is reasonably believed to be a traffic law or ordinance; or e) participating in a training exercise; an additional $65,000 will be paid. If death occurs as a result of an unlawful and intentional act by another person, an additional $185,000 will be paid.
