Ava’s career goal is to receive her nursing degree in emergency medicine and follow in her late father’s footsteps as a Registered Nurse in addition to his being a career firefighter.

In addition to attending school full-time, Ava soon hopes to begin volunteering and becoming involved with community activities helping the elderly population as well as in animal shelters.

Firefighter Watson Kohankie of the Carrolton (TX) Fire Rescue strongly endorses Ava for a scholarship, citing her professional demeanor, positive manner and follow through on tasks that she is responsible for in school, home or in the community.
