Scholarship Recipient

Catherine Nappi

Academic Scholarship Years:
Daughter of
Catherine Nappi

Growing up with the loss of a parent made Catherine constantly think about how she could keep the burden of losing a parent from hurting others the way it hurt her. The human body and the way it works has always captivated Catherine. While taking an anatomy class in school, she realized that a profession in the medical field was her dream. After finishing her undergraduate, Catherine plans to attend either medical school or physician’s assistant school to help others.

Catherine writes losing her dad caused her to throw herself into her work. This was her outlet to get her mind off the chaos. As she studied harder, she found passions within the classroom. Catherine has been inducted into the Spanish Honor Society and has earned a Bronze award in Girl Scouts. She currently plays on an inter-mural volleyball team at her university and is involved with Relay for Life.

Catherine is a responsible, trustworthy, reliable and motivated student. She takes full advantage of all of her academic opportunities and her strong academic background qualifies her to be an excellent candidate for this scholarship.
