Jaidyn, a high school senior, is preparing to enter college with plans to major in education and minor in Special Education, her desired field. She is dedicated to maintaining strong grades while also working and volunteering in her community. Beyond academics, Jaidyn is highly involved in student leadership. She participates in Educators Rising, a club for future teachers, and serves on both the Student Senate and Student Council, where she holds the position of Secretary. In this role, she manages important administrative tasks such as writing grants, preparing forms for student feedback, and helping organize events like the homecoming dance. Jaidyn’s sense of responsibility was shaped by personal loss after her father’s passing, she became more independent, taking on responsibilities at home and getting a job to support herself. Her drive and resilience reflect her deep commitment to both her education and her community.
Supervisor Allyson Fogerty describes Jaidyn as kind, courteous, engaging and helpful. “She shows up with a ready to go, can do attitude and is always positive to everyone she engages with.” Allyson concludes that Jaidyn is “a star example of leadership, companionship, and competence.”
