Laini’s career goal is to become a crime scene investigator. In addition to her studies, she is active in several service-focused extracurricular activities.

Laini plays varsity level softball and volleyball and is a coach’s assistant with Claymont Girls Softball, assisting 4–6-year-olds with learning skills. She is also an 8th Grade Peer Step-Up Mentor, helping to prepare students for the transition to high school. She assists first grade students with math & reading assignments.

School counselor Rachel Lillo cites Laini’s diligence and determination and says she has challenged herself academically by taking honors courses, excelling in her biomedical science pathway. Retired Fire Chief William Anuszewski says that Laini is following a path of public service like her father.
