Laini is currently a freshman at Cabrini University. During the winter semester, she learned the school will be closing permanently at the end of May. Despite this, she found her new school in Aradia University where she will continue pursuing an expanded Criminology & Criminal Justice degree with an added minor in Forensic Investigations. Laini’s career goal remains to become a crime scene investigator.
With the closing of her school due to financial challenges, most extracurricular activities were discontinued. Laini chose to focus this time that she would have spent doing sports and other extracurricular activities toward her studies and learning about her expanded major and additional minor.
Lieutenant Clayton Belle, Jr. cites Laini’s energy, enthusiasm, and persevering nature when facing challenges from the death of her father to the COVID pandemic, to her school closing being the key to her courage in all she does. General Manger Davon Cameron says that Laini exhibits self-discipline and determination to stay focused on her academic pursuit while maintaining a 4.0 GPA, working part-time at a local restaurant and assisting with the Claymont Girls Softball Association.
