Layne is passionate about helping people develop their goals, competencies, confidence, and resilience. Her goals are to become a director of human resources, to be a thought leader in the field of human resource development, and to bring innovative ideas and practices to the workforce.

Captain Dana Buckley (Retired) of Monarch Fire Protection District says that, like her father, Layne wishes to serve others by supporting their development as employees. Captain Buckley also notes that Layne’s father died from cardiac causes before the enactment of the Hometown Heroes Bill, so the family did not receive PSOB benefits.
