Senator Paul Sarbanes Scholarship

Scholarship Recipient

Olivia Terry

Major: Elementary Education
Academic Scholarship Years:
Daughter of
Olivia Terry

Olivia attributes receiving the NFFF scholarship to being able to focus on her studies and maintaining her 4.0 GPA. She continues to make the President’s list and is currently on track to do so again. Olivia shares that with the help of our scholarship program, her family has been able to survive, cope, and succeed amid tragedy by putting the broken pieces back together and look forward to the future albeit different than they had planned.

When she is not studying, she can be found volunteering with Rotoract, where they focus on community clean up and providing services to the homeless. She recently was elected as President of her Rotoract chapter. Olivia participated in “Carry the Load” by walking the east coast route in May 2022. This walk is important to her because they bring awareness to the sacrifices made by first responders and the military.

Sean Moulton, President of Hernando County Local 3760 writes, “Olivia has the drive and determination like no other, and those two qualities will make her an exceptional teacher. I know she will represent this scholarship with honor, dignity, and pride like her father before her, when he represented the fire department and United States Military.”

Olivia’s previous scholarships were made possible with support from the
Motorola Solutions Foundation and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
