Owen is currently a sophomore at Daytona State College. His career goal has changed slightly as he now is pursuing his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a minor at UCF for robotics. He has always loved robotics and building things, but his career trajectory recently changed as his career goal is to find a job in bionics where he can utilize his technology and engineering education to help amputees and people with disabilities by building prosthetics. Owen finds joy in helping others which aligns with his career goal.
He volunteers as a greeter to attendees and visitors in his church. Owen enjoys attending church as it helps him balance the stresses in his personal life. He also assists with caring for his mother who has chronic Lyme Disease and assists with caring for his two sisters and two stepsiblings.
