Rylee’s life was profoundly changed in August 2020 when her father tragically died in the line of duty. His legacy of bravery, humility, and service continues to shape her character and ambitions. Despite the immense loss and the challenges of dyslexia, Rylee finds strength and motivation in the values her father embodied, pushing herself to succeed in her academic pursuits and community involvement. As she approaches her final year of college, she is reapplying for the NFFF Scholarship, which has supported her education for the past three years and eased the financial strain on her family. This support has allowed her to stay focused on her studies and strive for excellence in honor of her father’s memory.
Rylee’s commitment to service is reflected not only in her academic goals but also in her volunteer work, such as helping distribute food at Shepherd’s Pantry. These experiences have deepened her compassion and desire to make a positive impact on her community—principles her father lived by. Though her career goals have evolved over time, her drive to serve others and contribute meaningfully remains steadfast. Rylee is determined to complete her degree and honor her father’s legacy through hard work, resilience, and service.
