The men who attended the annual 2018 Fire Hero Family Wellness Conference in Blue Ash, OH, in April 2018, participated in a service project at the Yellow Ribbon Support Center. They stuffed care packages for service men and women stationed overseas. Arlene Zang, mother of fallen Fire Captain Robin Zang-Broxterman, coordinated the project. Keith Maupin, father of Army SSG Matt Maupin who was killed in Iraq, began the center as a way to honor his son and show support for our troops. Arlene met Keith and learned about the center when both Robin and Matt were honored posthumously at the University of Cincinnati.
