The New York Knicks and Chase will hold the Second Annual Knicks 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at 12:00 pm on Sunday, April 7, inside Madison Square Garden (MSG). Participants will have the opportunity to climb the equivalent of 110 flights of stairs, paying tribute to the 343 FDNY members who died on September 11, 2001. In addition to the New York Knicks 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb Presented by Chase, many other regional 9/11 Memorial Stair Climbs by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) are held to honor these heroes and assist their families.
During the climb, each participant will wear a commemorative badge for the FDNY member they are honoring. The climb will take place throughout the lower bowl of Madison Square Garden, starting on the court, wrapping around the arena twice and ending back on the court. Knicks Alumni Earl Monroe and John Wallace, along with other Knicks Alumni, will be present at the event to remember the heroes of September 11, 2001.
This climb benefits programs provided by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to support the families of our nation’s fallen firefighters, the Uniformed Firefighters Association Widows (UFA) and Childrens Fund, and the FDNY Counseling Services Unit.
