Muertos Coffee Company

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) would like to recognize Muertos Coffee as one of our outstanding corporate partners.

Muertos Coffee is a firefighter owned and operated coffee company that provides subscription-based services for firefighters, first responders and customers across the United States. Their Direct Trade Coffee is roasted weekly in California for nationwide distribution.

Eli Held is the founder of Muertos Coffee. Held says that he grew up always wanting to help others and make a difference in his community. His passion led him to a career in the fire service where he is currently a Firefighter/Paramedic for the City of Folsom (CA) Fire Department.

Held and his company take pride in being a part of philanthropy locally and nationwide supporting the fire service, including many “Fill the Boot” fundraisers to support the Boston Fire Department Relief Fund and the Firefighters Burn Institute.

The decision to support the NFFF was a “no brainer,” according to Held. “Supporting a Foundation with a great mission and cause is what we aim to do.” Held says the partnership between Muertos Coffee and the NFFF made perfect sense saying, “The synergy between us was undeniable.”

So, what does Held hope to accomplish with the partnership? He says he has several goals. First and foremost, being able to attend all major (Foundation) events and make a presence, as well as a difference would mean the world to us.

Secondly, Held says it is about the connection, saying Muertos Coffee wants to support “as many families and firefighters as possible in partnership with the NFFF. We are excited for the future and opportunities and know that we will have great success together over the coming years.”

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation values our strategic alliances with our corporate sponsors to enhance awareness and funds. “Without their support and involvement, we would not be able to accomplish our mission to honor and remember America’s fallen fire heroes,” says NFFF Executive Director Chief Ron Siarnicki. He says the assistance is necessary “to provide resources to assist Fire Hero families in rebuilding their lives, and work within the fire service to reduce firefighter deaths and injuries.”
