Brian Keith Peek was born December 14, 1956, in Schenectady, New York. He was the son of the late Howard and Ella Anne (Freer) Peek. Brian was the loving husband of the late Wendy Peek, who passed away in 2022.

He was a proud member of the Goldsboro Fire Company and the Goldsboro Fireman’s Club. He previously served as a member of Fairview Township Fire Company in York County, Pennsylvania; Malabar Fire Company in Brevard County, Florida; and Middle River Fire Company in Middle River, Maryland.

Brian began his career in the fire service when he was 17. During his time with the Fairview Township Fire Department, he held positions as station captain, fire police lieutenant, and fire police captain. His passion was for firefighting and helping the community wherever he could.

Brian also enjoyed camping with his family and friends and taking trips to Florida prior to moving to Florida. He was an amateur ham radio operator and belonged to “21 Club” and the “52 Crew” in Florida. He enjoyed talking with people all over the world on his ham radio and spending time with his family.

Brian leaves behind his sons, James Peek and his wife, Pamela, and Jonathan Peek and his wife, Carmella; his brother, Gary Peek; stepsons, David Diodato and his wife, Patti, and Robert Diodato and his wife, Nancy; 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; extended family; his fire company family; and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, Brian was preceded in death by his stepmother, Nancy Peek.
