Brian Keith Burnett‚ 23‚ a member of the Scipio Township Volunteer Fire Department in La Porte‚ was critically injured on October 28‚ 1999‚ in an apparatus accident while responding to a grass fire. He died three months later on January 22‚ 2000. Firefighter Robert Ulrich died from injuries sustained in the same accident.
