Bryan C. Pottberg‚ 25‚ a member of Lee’s Summit Fire Department‚ drowned on July 15‚ 1999‚ while participating in a dive training exercise. In addition to the dive team‚ he was on the department’s public education and hazmat teams. Pottberg was from a family of firefighters; his father is Chief of the Fort Osage Fire Department.
