Firefighter/EMT
Age: 56
Year of Death: 2004

Connie C Bornman

Submitted by her Son

Connie Bornman was a member with Middle River Volunteer Ambulance Rescue Company for 4 years. In those 4 years she took EMT-B/IV Tech‚ and Firefighter 1 classes. She was the Hall Chairman‚ as well as an EMS Lieutenant.

She spent most of her time at the fire station being a mentor to the other members. She was known around the station as ‘Momma Conn’. Every one there looked at her as a 2nd mother but she was loved by all as their 1st mom.

She was always busy at school functions and public safety details teaching children of all ages what it’s like being a paramedic and showing them how to prevent fires.

She overcame a lot during her years at MRVAR. She survived breast cancer and a stroke a few years before. Just prior to her death‚ Connie was in a CRT-I class‚ but was unable to complete it due to some serious health issues. She still continued to go on with volunteering. After her death‚ MIEMSS grandfathered her in as a CRT-I and at her funeral she had the CRT-I patch put on her uniform by someone at MIEMSS.

Connie is missed by so many and was loved by everyone she came in contact with. She touched so many people; patients‚ students‚ other members‚ and family. V520517 will always be remembered…….’CAN I GET A WHAT‚ WHAT!!!!!!’

Connie is survived by a Husband‚ 3 sons and 4 grandchildren.
