  1. Danny was a kind and funny colleague at NTSB. He wanted to make a difference in the world and he did as an investigator and as a volunteer fireman. I think of him and am honored having known him.

  2. I met Danny in 1985 when we were both assigned to Headquarters of the NTSB, I later transferred to New York. I’ll always remember his energy and smile. Very sharp person with a quick sense of humor. I would ask him questions about the Fire Department and he would ask me questions about the Railroad and in this way we both learned from each other. One year I did not purchase the Hess Firetruck in time and Danny had an extra one and gave it to me, thats the kind of person he was, his generosity a perfect match for the Fire Service. I retired from the railroad in 2017 and have since joined my town’s Volunteer Fire Company and think of him and am reminded of the important role we all play. Paul Tedeschi, Alpha, NJ
