Dean Allan Crosswhite

Dean Allan Crosswhite, beloved assistant fire chief of Whatcom County Fire District #7, dedicated his life to serving his community and honoring the memory of the fallen. His commitment to the 9/11 memorial and his annual efforts to bring first responders from Ground Zero to Washington State exemplified his selflessness and compassion. Dean’s open-door policy and unwavering support for his fellow firefighters defined his leadership, earning their trust and respect.

With his infectious smile and kind spirit, Dean was a peacemaker who saw the best in everyone. In his personal life, he found joy in a good game of cornhole, enjoying a good beer with friends, and was passionate about traveling the world. One of his favorite adventures was trekking Machu Picchu with his son, Spencer, while he and his wife, Luciana, cherished the Florida Keys and the memories made there. Dean had dreamed of selling it all and exploring the world with Luciana upon retirement, yet he passed away six months before this awaited milestone.

His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. He was loved by all and will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
