Edward F. Reilly Jr.

Firefighter Edward F. Reilly Jr., 61, of the Fire Department City of New York – Ladder 160, died on July 23, 2009, from illness related to response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

He was born on September 15, 1947, in Queens, New York. He married Nancy, and together they had three children, Paul, Jennifer, and Gregory. He was also grandfather to seven grandchildren who were his greatest source of pride and joy.

Edward started his career as a firefighter in 1978 at Engine 55 and then at Ladder 160 until his retirement in 2002. Throughout his years of service, Edward was admired for his dedication and deep commitment to others. Today, as we honor him, we celebrate his dedication as a firefighter, but also the lasting impact he has made to his family and community.
