Erwin N. Sample‚ 31‚ died Tuesday May 7‚ 1985 at Western Nebraska General Hospital in Scottsbluff.
Sample‚ a member of Alliance Volunteer Fire Department‚ had assisted in transporting a patient to the Scottsbluff Hospital on Monday. After the patient had been checked into the hospital‚ Sample collapsed. He was admitted for treatment of a cerebral hemorrhage and died on Tuesday.
Erwin joined the Alliance Volunteer Fire Department on September 3‚ 1984.
