Firefighter Gregory J. LaManna, age 65, of the Fire Department City of New York – Engine 313, died at home on March 15, 2022, from illness related to response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

A resident of Sayville, New York, Gregory left this world as a hero and a pillar of many lives. His courage, generosity, and love for others is an example followed by many.

He was survived by his beautiful wife, Margaret, and three sons, Anthony, Gregory, and Daniel. He was the “Papi” of five amazing grandchildren, Anthony, Jackson, Greyson, Gregory, and Dahlia. He was the brother of Curtis and Christopher.

His compassion for those he loved was felt by all.
