Firefighter/Equipment Operator J. “Hank” Hester, age 70, of the BFC Limited LLC, Contracted by the Southwest Area Incident Management Team, died on September 8, 2025, of a cardiac emergency while battling the Dragon Bravo Fire.
The National Emergency Training Center (NETC) campus will be closed during the government shutdown, including access to the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial.
