Jimmy‚ known to his fire department family as Big Jim‚ was a 20-year veteran of the Sanford Fire Department. Big Jim had progressed up the career ladder to driver/operator. He had recently taken the Captain’s exam for the first time. Jim loved his fire department family. We all enjoyed hunting and fishing with Big Jim during our off-duty time. We enjoyed hearing him tell his stories while on duty.
