Jeffrey W. Albanese died on December 21, 2024, at Beth Israel Hospital. He suffered a cardiac arrest on December 9, 2024, while responding to an incident. After fighting very hard with his family and friends by his side, he succumbed to his injuries.

Jeff was the loving husband for 20 years to Michele L. (Mackedon) Albanese. He was the son of Karen (Doyle) Potter and the son of William Albanese and his wife Kathleen.

Raised in Brockton, he was a graduate of Brockton High School and received an associate degree from Massasoit Community College. At the time of his passing, Jeff had been a Brockton firefighter for 24 years. He was a member of Firefighters Local 144 and a member of the Honor Guard.

His larger-than-life personality brought so much joy and fun to everyone’s life. You will never meet a funnier, more carefree, kinder, man. He was the first one there to help. He loved his family and his dog Violet so much. He loved to go camping with his family, fishing, hanging with friends, having a fire, playing some music, cornhole, and hanging out at his beloved tiki bar that he built himself.

In addition to his wife, Michele, he is survived by his children, Jayson and Jillian Albanese. He is also survived by his sister, Carrie Lavigne, and her husband, Fred; and his brothers, Michael Smith, and his wife, Stacie; Patrick Smith and his companion, Stacey; and Matthew Albanese and his wife, Katelyn. Jeff was an amazing uncle and is survived by many nieces and nephews.
