John R. Kennedy‚ 75‚ a volunteer firefighter with the Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Department died of a heart attack while directing traffic at a motor vehicle accident in Berlin on July 18‚ 1998. A World War II Navy veteran‚ he worked as an FBI Special Agent for 26 years. He became a member of the local fire police at age 68.
