John Robert Hazlett‚ 52‚ volunteer firefighter‚ Odell Fire District‚ died August 19‚ 2001‚ from injuries sustained in an accident while driving a tanker back to the station after servicing. An Oregon Department of Transportation employee for 23 years‚ he was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors.
He was a happy‚ uplifting person who made the best of every situation.
