Battalion Chief John Vaughan, 68, of the Fire Department City of New York – Battalion 3, died on October 26, 2009, from illness related to response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
The National Emergency Training Center (NETC) campus will be closed during the government shutdown, including access to the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial.
