Age: 23
Year of Death: 2025
Year Honored:

Jonathan Ashworth

Firefighter-Operator Jonathan “Jon/Jace” Ashworth was selfless to all who he met, including his loving wife, Tabitha Ashworth. Jon Served his community through Beauregard Parish Fire District 4 from November 2018 until his passing on July 15, 2025. FF/OP Ashworth was responding to a call for help when he was involved in a vehicle accident.

Jonathan was the light in the room. He was goofy, playful, and positive and always had a smile on his face. He found a way to make everyone’s day better, even in the hardest times. If Jon wasn’t at the fire department, you could find him hosting a get-together at his residence, spending time with family, or at the local BBQ restaurant.

Jon was a devout Christian in the Mennonite community. He worshiped the lord faithfully. Jon had a servant heart and would never pass up an opportunity to help someone in need.

Jon’s greatest accomplishment on earth was marrying Tabitha on June 9, 2024. Jon was certified to the hazardous materials awareness level and was on his way to completing a Fire Apparatus Driver Operator course at the time of the accident.

All who knew Jon loved to be with him and could not be apart for too long. Jon was always reaching out to others, whether it was for birthdays, holidays, the loss of a loved one, or just checking in to make sure they were doing OK. Jon was an inspiration to all he met and continues to make others strive for better things. Jon will never be forgotten.
