Joseph A. Hatzelman, 61, of East Meadow, New York, died on February 18, 2020.

Joseph was a proud FDNY firefighter assigned to Engine Company 218. He was a 9/11 First Responder and passed away due to his work in rescue and recovery after the attacks on the World Trade Center.

He was the beloved husband of Kathy, dedicated father of Joseph and Tara, devoted son of Roseanne and the late Ernest, adored brother of Albert (Nancy), Teresa Meade (Chris), and Debra Brengel (Kyle), and a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
