Keith M. Loughlin

Lieutenant Keith M. Loughlin, age 56, of the Fire Department City of New York – Ladder 109, died at home on July 31, 2014, from illness related to response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. He got sick in 2004 and bravely fought for ten years before ultimately passing in 2014 from his illness.

Born in Manhattan, he moved to Eltingville in 1960 and to Great Kills in 1981. He graduated from Tottenville High School.

From 1979 to 2004, he proudly served with the Fire Department of New York in Engine 201, Squadron 1, Ladder 132, and Ladder 109. He retired in 2004 after 26 years with the department.
He was an avid fan of the New York Rangers and enjoyed fishing.

Mr. Loughlin is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lori; his son, Jesse; daughter-in-law, Sarah; and grandchildren, Keith and Juliet.
