Kory Michael Yule

Kory’s life can best be described as “life to the full.” Everything he did, from family to work to friendships to activities, he accomplished with contagious enthusiasm. He deeply loved his two children, Hudson and Grace, and was so proud to be their dad. When he married Ashley, he added twin “bonus” daughters, Brinley and Paisley, who provided so much joy and support for him over the last few years.

With the Scottsdale Fire Department, Kory’s work ethic was a model for others as he was quickly promoted to the rank of captain. His diligence and tenacity, his standards of excellence and his humorous wit were a few of the characteristics that distinguished his twenty years of service.

Another of Kory’s treasured attributes was his loyalty to his family and friends. The legacy of a man’s life can be measured by the people who are drawn together by the life he lived. His love for sports, hunting and fishing, camping, golf, and music was always shared with family and friends.

The Scottsdale Fire Department’s motto is “We care for you,” and Kory was a living example of just that kind of selfless service. With over 12,000 calls under his belt, Kory’s care for others was never a source of boasting but was a source of settled purpose and fulfillment.

Kory will be long remembered for his life to the full—never a doubt!
