Landon Cale Bodie was a true genuine soul that left a mark wherever he went. A native of Saluda, South Carolina, he grew up in Saluda County and spent most of his life there. In May 2024, he graduated from Blythewood High School, where he was a member of the Technical Honor Society, certified in OSHA, and a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. He was a faithful and active member of the FFA, always having a love for the outdoors and agriculture. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, skills he had learned through his grandfather since the age of two.
He attended Beulah Baptist Church and had a strong faith in the Lord, always toting his pocket Bible with him anywhere he went.
Landon always had a passion for helping others. He worked alongside his grandfather doing construction and serving others. Since the age of 5-6 years old, he had a passion to serve others and wanted to become a firefighter.
He joined the Circle Volunteer Fire Department at the age of 18. Always devoted and dedicated to any interest he had, Landon was more than proud to serve his community as a volunteer firefighter. If he was not serving others through his work, he was serving others in his community.
He is greatly missed beyond measures but will never be forgotten for his heroic act of service during Hurricane Helene and the impact he left on so many lives.
