On April 4, 2025, with profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announced the passing of Laurence “Larry” Pude. Larry suffered a medical emergency after responding to a call earlier in the day.
Larry served in the U.S. Army from January 25, 1960, to January 24, 1963, attaining the rank of sergeant.
Larry served the community diligently for 53 years in the Cambria Volunteer Fire Company. With unwavering courage, selflessness, and a deep commitment to protecting others, his bravery and compassion touched countless lives, and his sacrifice will never be forgotten. Larry was a very active member, holding the position of fire police captain. When Larry had the traffic, we knew he had our back when it was turned.
Larry was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and just being outdoors.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Larry was kind and generous, gentle and fun. He always had a joke to go around. He was loving and honorable, a man who loved life fully and will be missed by many.
If you were fortunate enough to know Larry, hopefully you can still hear his contagious laugh or recall a precious memory.
