– Mary CullenThe Red Rocks Memorial Climb, Denver, Colorado is now in it`s 11th year. “We climb because they climbed” is always the theme. I picked lee`s photo tag and wore it on my shirt as I and others climbed the distance equal to the Twin Towers stairs. It was an honor. I marched along his brother firefighters —– and bagpipers— in their full gear. Not easy at a mile high. They are truly the “tough people” on the front lines. I know you are missed by many. Jack Lopez
– Jack LopezToday I participated in the 9/11 Tower Challenge in Tucson, Arizona where we climbed 2,071 steps representing the 110 floors at the University of Arizona’s football field. My badge for the challenge had Lee on it, and carrying him along the way plus visiting this page gives me an incredibly different and personal sense of ultimate appreciation and love for people like Lee that make up our country. My thoughts today will include Danielle‚ Kaitlin‚ and Megan, as well as every 9/11 after this. Thank you, Lee.
– Alex AyersI miss my friend Lee and think of him all the time, especially on 9-11. I met Lee when we were both in the NYPD Academy, back in early 94. A group of about 5 or 6 of us would take the train from Wantagh into the City together and return to Long Island at the end of the day. Lee was a funny guy who constantly kept us laughing. We became good friends. I attended his wedding. It was a good time to be alive and the Policemen and Firemen were respected by most people. Lee was so happy to become part of FDNY. He was a great guy and deserved to be happy. Again……I miss my friend. RIP Lee.
– Robert LuckasI ran my Run to Remember 5k to honor you.
