Private Marcien A. Vallee, Was born in Lewiston, Maine on December 11, 1922. He joined the Lewiston Fire Department on June 6, 1947. He died in the line of duty on July 7, 1949, at the age of 26 when Lewiston and Auburn fire trucks collided at Court and Main Streets in Auburn as both departments responded to a fire alarm.
