Michael Branden Anderson, “Branden” to the locals, was born on July 9, 1982, and raised in the village of Laurelville, where he served 23 years as an active member of the Laurelville Volunteer Fire Department. He was acting as captain at the end of his service.
Branden was a friend to all. He was always there to help, whether it was getting new recruits through classes, giving guidance, maintaining trucks in service, volunteering within the community, or just being that shoulder to lean on in a time of need. He responded to an average of over 50% of his company runs, and when he wasn’t responding, you could find him at the firehouse or close by.
Branden leaves behind his wife, five children, grandchildren, his parents, grandmother, and a community.
There’s not a day that he isn’t remembered for his selfless acts of service.
Captain Anderson 632 leaves a legacy that’s irreplaceable and will always be remembered.
