Michael L. Duffy

Firefighter Michael Leo Duffy, 63, of the Fire Department City of New York – Ladder 174, died on August 8, 2017, from illness related to response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

A 20-year veteran of the FDNY, he joined the department in 1982 and retired in 2002. He spent his entire career at Engine 310 and Ladder 174 in East Flatbush.

He lived in Gerritsen Beach in Brooklyn, New York, and was survived by his wife, Corrina.

He was remembered as a prankster who would help anyone in need.
