Michael Ray Oldham

Firefighter Michael Ray Oldham, age 32, of the Kansas City Fire Department (MO), died on November 29, 1988, in an ammonium nitrate and fuel oil mixture explosion on U.S. Highway 71.

Michael was a lifelong area resident and hehad been a firefighter at Station 41 since 1985 and was at Station 35 from 1976 to 1985. He was a member of Local 42 of the International Association of Fire Fighters. He was a 1974 graduate of Hickman Mills High School.

He was survived by his wife, Karen; his son; his daughter; his parents, retired Kansas City Fire Department Captain Charles Oldham and Doris Oldham; one brother; one sister; and maternal grandmother.
