Roll of Honor

Mitch Weaver

Submitted by his Sister

My brother was 30 years old when he died of a heart attack. He had been a volunteer for 12 years.

At the time of his death he had served as a driver and Rescue Team Member for the Tunnelton Ambulance Service‚ Board of Directors for the Preston County Training Association and Assistant Chief for the Tunnelton Volunteer Fire Department.

After his death‚ he continued to help others. He was an organ donor. The gift of sight was given to two individuals.

Growing up my brother and I didn’t have the ‘typical’ brother/sister relationship. We didn’t argue and fight like most siblings. We got along.

My son was 3 1/2 years old when his uncle died. And if Mitch was alive today‚ I can only image the close relationship that they would share and the difference he could have made in his nephews life.

My brother was a very dedicated and caring person‚ and I miss him so much.
