Firefighter Neil G. Gimpel, age 66, of the Fire Department City of New York died on December 30, 2024, from illness related to response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
The National Emergency Training Center (NETC) campus will be closed during the government shutdown, including access to the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial.
