Patrick Quinn was born August 2, 1960, into a large Irish Catholic family in Minnesota. He eventually moved to Tucson, Arizona, where he met his wife, Susan, and joined the Tucson Fire Department, becoming a third-generation firefighter.
Patrick Quinn began his career with the Tucson Fire Department in 1985 and served proudly for 37 years. Throughout his career with the department, he worked within the Hazardous Materials Response Team, performed a variety of roles in fire cause investigation and public education, served as the deputy chief in charge of emergency management, and finally served as a battalion chief out on shift. Patrick attended the National Fire Academy numerous times and loved teaching what he learned about fire cause investigation to recruit classes within the department.
Patrick and Susan had two sons, Nicholas and Daniel. Patrick loved spending time with them outdoors camping, hunting, and fishing.
Patrick contracted glioblastoma cancer as a result of his career spent with the department. He courageously fought the cancer for over three months but unfortunately passed away in the early morning of March 2, 2025. Patrick Quinn is survived by his wife, two sons, and grandchildren.
