Lieutenant Paul W. Deo Jr., age 74, of the Fire Department City of New York – Engine 317, died on February 7, 2020, from illness related to response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

Originally from Queens, he moved to Ronkonkoma, where he raised his family.

He was a Vietnam veteran who served with the U.S. Marine Corps.

He served with the New York City Fire Department for 33 years. His son, brother, and nephew also served as firefighters.
