Age: 54
Year of Death: 2019
Year Honored:

Peter Adam Quinn

On January 21, 2019, the Fire Department of New York lost a beloved member due to a September 11-related illness with the passing of Peter A. Quinn.

Peter was a career FDNY firefighter and a member of Ladder 106 in Brooklyn since October 1992. He spent some time at the FDNY Training Academy before retiring on a September 11-related disability pension in 2015.

Peter was known for his sense of humor, his funny stories, his strength, generosity, and empathy. Everyone Peter met was a friend, and he was the first one to help anyone that needed it. He was a fighter and lived by the motto “Never Give Up.”

Peter leaves behind a large group of lifelong friends from middle and high school and the firehouse.

He is survived by his wife, Michele, and his four children, Samantha (Chris), Ruby, Edward, and Brendan, as well as his five siblings and many adoring nieces and nephews. His family was everything to him.

He joins his parents and his daughter, Sarah Beth, in Heaven, where we know he is watching over us.
