Peter’s enthusiasm for the fire service was infectious as he served as a technical rescue instructor at the NYC fire department academy.

Peter served as a volunteer firefighter for 14 years. 3. I had the amazing honor of climbing 110 stories for Peter Brennan yesterday, at the 9/11 Redrocks Stairclimb. As an EMT student, this mission meant a lot to me because I wanted to support all those in EMS who died that day. They died trying to save others, and my goal in life is to save lives. I was very proud to walk all 110 stories in recognition of Peter Brennan’s sacrifice. I was only a baby when 9/11 happened, but it still effects us even today. Peter’s name will never be forgotten, because I will always walk for him and all of the 343 fallen.
Thank you for your sacrifice Peter Brennan, you will forever be remembered.

  4. It was a privilege for me to discover in 2015 via Ancestry.com that such a very brave man was my third cousin but sad I was never able to meet him in person. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis (Irish) = May his faithful/loyal soul be at the right hand of God.

  5. Today I climbed 110 flights around Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI in honor of Peter Brennan. The climb gave me and the thousands of other participants time to reflect on the day we lost Peter Brennan along with 342 other brave firefighters. It is inspiring to see that our nation still comes together to remember that terrible day, and that the names and the stories of all the firefighters will never be forgotten. It truly was an honor to wear Peter Brennan’s name on my shirt as I climbed those stairs. America will never forget your sacrifice.

  8. Peter – you were my best student in the Suffolk County Community College hazardous materials and industrial safety engineering courses. I could always count on you to go above and beyond. You even brought your volunteer department’s hazmat unit to class one evening so we would have enough equipment to practice with. You loved your work and you told us how much you loved your family. You will always be a hero to me. I am proud to have been your instructor.
You are missed but never forgotten.
